Young Voices – Open call
Are you 16—19 years old and are you interested in the performing arts? This is for you!
Assitej Iceland and the Nordic-Baltic ASSITEJ Network (NBAN) are happy to invite two young people from each Nordic-Baltic country to be part of the UNGI Performing Arts Festival for Children in Reykjavik, Iceland April 23-25, 2026.
The youth delegates role is essential to explore new ways of reaching out to our audience, and the program will focus on youth involvement and participatory methods. Confrontation between the artists and young people (and vice versa) will inspire new practice and policies for producing and presenting theatre for children.
The youth participants should be in the age of 16-19, preferably drama students in high schools or youths with experience in the performing arts. The Assitej centers in each country will promote this exclusive opportunity and Assitej Iceland will select the candidates.
Deadline for application: February 15.
As a youth participant, you will:
Experience performing arts for children from Iceland, the Nordic and Baltic region and Europe.
Speak your mind, confronting the artists
Take part in workshops and experience Reykjavik and Iceland
Make new friends sharing the interest for the Performing Arts
Have a lot of fun!
The days will be filled with a professional program, shows and social events and excursions in the afternoon. A full program and practical info will be sent to the participants in March.
We will provide:
